We are a brain research lab developing the cutting-edge computational approaches to revolutionize our understanding of the human brain. We are interested in discovering biomarkers across neuro-diseases, exploring how variations in the genome change the structure and development of the brain, and establishing neuro-biolgical basis to visualize the pathophysiological mechanisms of neuro-diseases using data-driven approach.

The ACM lab, directed by Dr. Guorong Wu, is under the Department of Psychiatry, Department of Computer Science, Department of Statistics and Operations Research, UNC Neuroscience Center, and Computational Medicine Program at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine . We are actively recruiting creative thinkers with strong motivation to pursue big data science research applied to questions in brain development, neuropsychiatric illness, and neurodegenerative disease. Computer scientists and bio-statisticians interested in large-scale, data-driven projects as well as neuroscientists and imaging experts  interested in augmenting their skill sets with data-driven approaches are both encouraged to join.  If you are a grad student interested in a rotation, please email Guorong.  If you are a interested in a postdoc position, please send a CV along with 2 references to grwu@med.unc.edu.
